How to Set Up and View the Waiting List

Qwaiting allows customers, staff, and visitors to easily view the waitlist from multiple touchpoints such as mobile tickets, kiosks, display screens, and staff call panels. This helps create transparency and reduces uncertainty while waiting.

12.1 VIEWING THE WAITLIST ON MOBILE (AFTER CUSTOMER CHECK-IN)

After a customer check in (via mobile, QR code, or kiosk), they can view their position in the queue on their mobile ticket screen.

HOW TO ENABLE WAITLIST ON MOBILE TICKETS

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Navigate to Ticket Screen Settings

  3. Scroll down to the Waitlist Settings section

  4. Enable the following options:

    • Show Waitlist

    • Show Waitlist Table (Mobile + Print)

    • Mobile Ticket Waitlist Text

Once enabled:

  • Customers can see how many people are ahead of them.

  • The waitlist appears both on mobile tickets and printed tickets.

  • Clear waitlist information improves customer confidence and reduces inquiries.

12.2 SHOWING THE WAITLIST ON DISPLAY SCREENS

For visitors who check in via kiosks or do not use mobile devices, Qwaiting can display the waiting list on public display screens.

HOW TO ENABLE WAITLIST ON DISPLAY SCREENS

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Open Screen Template Settings.

  3. Select the desired display screen template.

  4. Click the three-dot menu and choose Settings.

5.Scroll down and enable Show Waiting Calls

6.Click Save

Once enabled:

  • Waiting token numbers appear on the display screen

  • Visitors can clearly see which tokens are in the waiting queue

  • This improves visibility and reduces crowding near counters

12.3 VIEWING THE WAITLIST FOR STAFF

Staff members can also monitor the waiting list directly from their Call Screen.

How Staff Can View Waiting Visitors

  • Staff log in to the Call Panel.

  • On the right-hand side, they can see the list of visitors currently waiting.

  • The waiting list updates in real time as tokens are called or completed.

This helps staff:

  • Understand queue volume at a glance

  • Manage calls more efficiently

  • Prepare for upcoming customers

By enabling waitlist visibility across mobile tickets, printed tickets, display screens, and staff panels, Qwaiting ensures a transparent and well-managed queue experience. Customers stay informed, staff stay in control, and overall service flow becomes smoother and more efficient.
