Allowing Customers to Leave the Waiting List

Sometimes customers may decide not to wait due to long queues, changing plans, or unexpected emergencies. To improve customer experience and reduce no-shows, Qwaiting allows customers to voluntarily leave the waitlist.

14.1 HOW TO ENABLE THE "LEAVE WAITLIST" FEATURE

  1. Log in to the Admin Panel
    Use your administrator credentials to access the backend.

  2. Go to Settings
    Navigate to:
    Settings → Ticket Screen Setting → General Setting

  3. Find the Option
    Look for the checkbox labeled:
    “Allow customer to leave the line”

4. Enable the Feature
Check the box to activate this setting.

5.Save Your Settings
Click Save to apply the changes.

14.2 WHAT CUSTOMERS WILL SEE

Once enabled:

  • Customers who have checked in will see a “Leave waitlist” button on their:

    • Mobile ticket screen

    • Kiosk interface

  • When a customer chooses to leave:

    • Their spot in the queue is immediately removed

    • The staff’s Call Screen updates in real-time

14.3 BENEFITS OF THIS FEATURE

  • Reduces no-shows.

  • Keeps the waitlist accurate and current.

  • Improves customer satisfaction by offering flexibility.

  • Helps staff avoid calling customers who are no longer waiting.
