Creating and Managing Services in Qwaiting

To organize your offerings and make it easier for customers to navigate your services, Qwaiting allows you to create and manage Services. Services help segment your business operations and streamline the queue experience across kiosks, mobile devices, and online platforms.

By configuring services correctly, you ensure a smoother customer journey and more efficient queue management for your staff.

Why Use Services?

Using services in Qwaiting helps you to:

  • Group offerings by type, purpose, or department

  • Simplify service selection for customers

  • Reduce confusion during registration or booking

  • Create clear and structured queue flows

  • Improve staff-side queue handling and reporting

How to Add Services in Qwaiting

Step 1: Access the Services Section

  1. Log in to your Qwaiting Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to the Services section from the side menu.

Step 2: Understand Service Levels

Qwaiting supports a multi-level service structure, allowing you to organize services hierarchically:

  • Level 1: Main Service
    (e.g., Department or Service Category)

  • Level 2: Sub-Service
    (e.g., Specific services under a department)

  • Additional Sub-levels: Optional, based on your service hierarchy

This structure is ideal for businesses with multiple departments or complex service offerings.

Step 3: Add a New Service

Click the Add Service button and configure the following details:

Basic Information

  • Service Name: Name of the service.

  • Service Name (Other Language): Enter the service name in another language if required.

  • Acronym: Short abbreviation for quick reference.

Display Settings

  • Display On: Choose where the service should appear:

    • Ticket Screen

    • Transfer Screen

    • Both

  • For Screen: Select visibility for:

    • Walk-In Screen

    • Appointment Screen

    • Both

  • For Screen (Other):

    • Backend Screen only

    • Appointment Screen only

    • Both

Service Configuration

  • Service Type: Select whether the service is Paid or Free.

  • Image/Icon: Upload an icon to visually represent the service.

  • Locations: Choose the location(s) where this service should be available (useful for multi-branch businesses).

Optional Details

  • Service Time (in minutes): Estimated service duration shown to customers.

  • Service Note: Add notes related to the service (ensure the Service Note option is enabled).

  • Description: Provide a brief explanation to help customers understand the service.

Once all required and optional fields are completed, click Create to save the service.

After Service Creation

  • The newly created service will appear in the Services list.

  • Customers will see available services during check-in or booking.

  • Staff can manage and assign tokens based on selected services.
