Create trackable booking and queue links for your Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads and campaigns. Use UTM parameters to measure campaign performance and understand how your marketing efforts drive bookings, walk-ins, visits, and completed services.
This guide explains how to generate UTM-tracked booking or queue links, configure campaign details, and monitor the performance of your generated links in QWaiting.
Part 1: Before You Begin
Make sure you have:
Access to your QWaiting Admin Dashboard.
Permission to access System Settings.
A booking or queue URL that you want to promote.
Your Meta campaign details, such as the campaign source, medium, and campaign name.
How to Access the Meta UTM Link GeneratorTo open the Meta UTM Link Generator in QWaiting:
Log in to your QWaiting Admin Dashboard.
From the left-hand menu, select System setting.
Click Integrations.
Locate the Meta integration.
Click Manage.
You will then be taken to the Meta UTM Link Generator, where you can create and manage trackable booking and queue links for your Meta campaigns.

Part 2: Open the Meta UTM Link Generator
From the QWaiting Admin Dashboard, go to:
Manage>
The Meta UTM Link Generator allows you to create trackable links for your marketing campaigns.
You can create two types of links:
Booking link – Directs customers to your booking page.
Queue link – Directs customers to your queue or walk-in page.
Part 3: Select the Link Type
Under Select link type, choose the type of link you want to generate.
Booking Link
Select Booking link when your Meta campaign is designed to encourage customers to schedule an appointment or make a booking.
Queue Link
Select Queue link when your campaign is designed to direct customers to join a queue or access your queue service.
Choose the option that matches the customer journey you want to track.
Part 4: Enter the Base URL
Enter the destination URL in the Base URL field.
This is the QWaiting page where customers will be directed after clicking your campaign link.
For example:
https://your-business.qwaiting.com/booking
Make sure the URL is correct and accessible before generating the link.
Part 5: Add UTM Campaign Information
The UTM fields help identify where your traffic comes from and which campaign generated the visit.
Source (utm_source)
Enter the platform or traffic source where the link will be shared.
For a Meta campaign, you can use:
facebook
or
instagram
Medium (utm_medium)
Enter the marketing channel used for the campaign.
For example:
paid_social
Other values can be used depending on your campaign tracking strategy.
Campaign Name (utm_campaign)
Enter a unique name for your campaign.
For example:
summer_sale_2025
Use a clear and consistent naming convention so campaigns are easy to identify in your reports.
Part 6: Generate the UTM Link
After entering all required information:
Select the link type.
Enter the Base URL.
Enter the Source.
Enter the Medium.
Enter the Campaign name.
Click Generate link.
QWaiting will automatically create a trackable URL using the information you entered.
The generated link can then be used in your Meta advertising campaigns.
Part 7: Use the Generated Link in Meta Campaigns
Copy the generated UTM link and use it as the destination URL for your Facebook or Instagram campaign.
For example, you could create a campaign using:

This allows you to identify traffic and conversions generated specifically by that campaign.
Part 8: View Generated UTM Links
After generating links, they are displayed in the Generated UTM Links section.
You can use the date filters to find links created within a specific period.
Start Date
Select the beginning of the date range you want to review.
End Date
Select the end of the date range.
Reset Filters
Click Reset filters to clear the selected dates and return to the default view.
Part 9: Understand the UTM Performance Table
The generated links table provides performance information for each campaign.
Type
Shows whether the generated link is a Booking link or Queue link.
Source
Displays the UTM source associated with the campaign, such as Facebook or Instagram.
Medium
Displays the marketing medium used for the campaign.
Campaign
Shows the campaign name associated with the generated link.
Total Bookings
Shows the number of bookings generated through the tracked link.
Total Walk-ins
Shows the number of customers who joined through the tracked queue or walk-in link.
Total Visits
Shows the total number of visits attributed to the generated link.
Served
Shows the number of customers who were successfully served.
No Show
Shows the number of bookings or customers marked as no-shows.
Generated Link
Displays the trackable URL created by QWaiting.
Part 10: Example Meta Campaign
Suppose you are running a Facebook campaign to promote summer appointments.
You could configure the UTM link as follows:
